We at Style me Sunday are very excited to introduce the super talented Victoria from The Drama Parlour. Victoria is a hair stylist extraordinaire and will be sharing some awesome hairstyling tips to help see us all through the party season.
Look 1 - The Bardot
First of all I wanted to show a few tips on transforming your look, but that is not too difficult to do yourself. There is nothing more disheartening than a hairdo that only a stylist can do.
So here is the first of a few quick and easy looks with tips along the way.
I have found if you put a bit of a bend in your hair it makes it more pliable.
Grab sections of hair depending on how thick you hair is. Don’t worry about clean sections. Use some large tongs and get some movement into the hair.
Then backcomb the top section, and tong the top. I prefer to use a Mason Pearson brush. They are the Don in the brush world and make backcombing a breeze
If you backcomb first it saves you brushing out the curls you have just put in.
My next tip is the to use a mattifying powder. It adds to the volume and gives it the bedroom hair feel and look.
Give the hair a good shake out and loosen it all up.
Next step is to grab the hair in a low ponytail. I use a clear snag free hairband.
Wrap a bit if hair over the band. Not a necessity but looks good. Secure with a grip.
The last thing to do is pull out some hair at the front and voila!

We highly recommend a visit to The Drama Parlour to get pampered and preened, it made us feel a million dollars when they made us over for the MAD Blog Awards.
