After a week jam packed with Coco’s 2nd
birthday celebrations (she is still whispering “more presents!”), I am
beginning to think a little bit more about the new baby that is due to make an
appearance – in roughly two weeks to be exact. Whilst my nesting instinct should mean I am
scrubbing the inside of cupboards with Dettol, I am instead searching the world
wide interweb for a long list of “necessities” including cute new baby
clothes. Autumn/Winter must be
baby season this year as a number of close friends are also popping over the
next few months, giving me even more reason to look for beautiful new baby
items.
For presents, my one-stop shop is normally
The White Company as you can always guarantee a range of gorgeous, good quality
items that are wearable, wash well, but are still a little bit special. However, I have become more than a little
predictable in terms of my present buying so I thought I would hunt down some
independent baby boutiques that offer something a bit different.
I am a big fan of baby rompers for
newborns, so here are my favourite finds from our best independent boutiques:
Herbert & Stella - www.herbertandstella.co.uk
Ilkley, West Yorkshire
Igloo - www.iglookids.co.uk
Upper Street, London
This is just a teeny tiny sample of what these independent boutiques have to offer, so do have a browse. I definitely will!
