One of many hats is obviously blogger, and besides from sitting at the computer a lot once the kids go to bed I also get invited to the odd press day here and there. For those of you who are not sure what these are, they are what brands/ pr companies put on to showcase usually their brand's next collection. They get feedback and exposure from us bloggers and other press people, and in return we get to attend often exciting events and browse beautiful things we're interested in and we sometimes get the odd freebie now and again.
As regular readers will know I'm a huge fan Start-rite shoes for my little ones. See my post here.

So in the Easter holidays I jumped on the tube with my nearly 5 year old and 18 month old in a buggy and headed to Pall mall to attend Start-rite's press day (jump is clearly the wrong adjective). They had a children's catwalk show - showing off their latest collection:
If you look carefully you will see my brood and me at the back on the left hand side after a few minutes into the clip. My youngest kept wanting to jump up onto the catwalk I was having a bit of trouble trying to restrain her. I didn't even realise at the time it was being streamed live on the net.
It’s worth noting that Harper Beckham and Suri Cruise have both been spotted wearing Start–rite shoes. Other Start-rite fans also include Myleene Klass’ daughters Ava and Hero, as well as the children of Lily Allen, Amanda Holden, Charlie Condou, Gizzi Erskine, and Lauren Laverne.
Then after the catwalk show we browsed the collection laid out beautifully on tables. Taking an 18 month old kid everywhere with me is tiresome sometimes, as all she wants to do is climb up onto the tables and trash the place. So I'm basically running around after her fighting fires. But I do have just enough time to see some lovely shoes that I will definitely be purchasing for my little ones soon and to speak to some of the lovely Start-rite team. My favourite of the whole collection I saw was definitely the Classics range - english classics with a twist. You can see their full range here.
Afterwards we walked about 20 mins to a tube station that doesn't require changing trains, as you can't always rely on meeting a kind person offering help with the buggy on the stairs, luckily it was a lovely day so this wasn't too painful.
Nat x
