This week's Street Style Sunday comes from the blog Style After Nine. Please go and check out this fabulous blog for stylish mums and the coolest, most stylish little dude around (he almost makes me want to try again for a boy, almost!):
LITTLE MG ROCK THIS! 'BEST HIDDEN SECRET' BHS KIDSWEAR
I was given the opportunity to check out BHS’ spring kidswear range. A good thing really, as it’s not been on my radar for kids stuff. Quelle surprise, this high street stalwart, has some really stylish pieces for boys (the girlswear is equally cute). These are good looking wardrobe staples I know my boy can play in, plus the prices are good, there’s plenty of 100% cotton labels and because of his age, he’s 2 in May, he fits into both Baby (0-3) and Younger Boys (2-10), so even more styles to choose from.
So, here’s MG trying out a few BHS boys’ pieces in his favourite place The Garden. If it’s blurred, it’s because I was chasing him, if you see snot, it’s because he’s had a bug for the past month.
1. A cotton jersey bomber jacket (sold out online, hurry instore to get one before they go), I love the arrow detail on the pocket and striped edging detail. Baby Ticking Stripe Dungarees (part of set £15), 100% cotton. These have a cute back pocket detail and are lightweight. Pssst…an inner leg closure would be handy for nappy changes. Denim Shirt (from £10), 100% cotton, the perfect sunbleached colour for summer and breathable.
2. Baby sun hat (also sold out online, but £6) 100% cotton. I love the cool denim hue and cute care print. Striped hoody (just £10), 100% cotton. It’s cosy and has a Pop-Eye friendly red lining in the hood. Navy Shorts (part of 2 set from £12) 100% cotton. I like these, they’re simple, a classic cut, roll up or pull down to calf length hem and an adjustable waistband.
3. Scooter shirt (£8) 100% Cotton. One of many great BHS printed shirts, it’s vibrant without being corny crayon bright. Green shorts are the second part to the navy shorts above.
4. Baby sun hat as before. Ticking stripe dungarees as before. Baby distressed pint t-shirt (from £5) 100% cotton, I’m not really a fan of primary colour overkill on kidswear, so like the faded effect of this tee. It also has a bunch of zoo animals on the centre, which MG loved pointing out.
5. Baby Cobalt Lightweight Jacket (from £16) 100% polyester and 100% cotton lining. OK, so my boy has lived in this ever since and he gets compliments everywhere we go – great lining on the hood and rope details. Baby Striped giraffe tee (from £5) 100% cotton. Another thing im weary of are twee animal motifs on kidswear, but this is an example of them being incorporated stylishly – a unique combination of nautical chic and the sahara desert. Baby lightweight jeans (from £8) 100% cotton. Once again, I have a thing for sun bleached denim in the summer so these jeans tick all the boxes, plus they have an adjustable waistband.

Gorgeous clothes and adorable little boy!!! I definitely have to check out BHS for my three little boys! Funny enough, I walked past BHS yesterday and saw so many nice dresses and shoes (for myself..) in the window, but had all my boys with me so didn't not even think twice about going in, but will do soon (on my own..;))! Have a great day! Take care x
