The perfect dress for date night

I am a firm believer in making time for your relationship especially once kids are thrown into the mix. It's important for the happiest of your kids to look after the happiness of your relationship. Obvious stuff I know but I like every one else sometimes forget to spend a bit of time away from the kids - just us.

So with Valentine's Day round the corner what perfect excuse is there for a date night. Having said that most of us aren't exact flush with money at the moment, so I recommend you don't actually go out on Valentines night and make it another night instead when prices return to normal, I've also shopped around for the perfect date night outfit on a tight budget.

I'm loving this figure-hugging stripy dress from Sainsbury's Tu priced at just £22 I think it's a real bargain and could be used time and time again. You could easily dress it down with a denim jacket and converse trainers. The shoes are from Next and are £30, the earrings are £10 and from Marks and Spencer's. But you will more than likely have some shoes and jewellery in your closet already that would go with this fabulous dress.

The shoes can be nude, black, or a completely different colour from the dress, green shoes would look too twee. Jewellery - a very simple necklace would be fine, but I think there's too much going on in the dress to wear a big bold necklace or massive statement earrings.

Whatever you do have a wonderful time. Hope the dress works wonders! You can spare us the details this time.

What do you think of this dress?
