Last January Nat started the year by sharing her New Years Resolutions with us. I was really impressed by her honesty and the fact that she was putting them out there so to speak. This was a very popular post, so I thought you may like to know how she actually got on!...
Bloody fabulously of course!
Seriously, when I read over them I couldn't believe how many she could tick off. I can't speak so much for the ones involving feelings as only she could really tell us that, but she has most definitely managed a few really big ones.
1. More exercise (tricky at the best of times, but even more admirable with a baby!)
She's only gone and signed up for the London Marathon 2014!
2. Work more - Yep, as well as working very hard on the blog she has been helping many a new mum with breastfeeding. Big tick for this one.
3. Drink less alcohol - Sober for October!! Raising money for charity and fulfilling another resolution.
Well done partner, I'm very proud of you x
Below is the original post.
January 2013
I'm always wary of voicing my resolutions as I don't want to be reminded every time I fail. But then again I guess with that attitude I'm just setting myself up to fail.
It seems however New Year resolutions have been around for a very long time, according to Wikipedia, New Year resolutions have been associated with the ancient Babylonians, the Romans and the Medieval era in some form.
To continue the tradition, I've put my resolutions into two categories:
Mores:
Be more patient
Be more compassionate
Drink more water
Eat more protein
Contact people I care about more
Look after my skin more
Do more exercise
Work more
Be more organised
Say sorry when I'm wrong more (difficult one for me)
Less:
Judge less
Want less
Eat less carbs
Drink less alcohol
Worry less about what people think
Worry less about things I cannot change
Create less arguments (another particularly tricky one)
What are your New Year resolutions?
Nat x
