On Friday I managed to get away for a few hours and attend a talk on Photography by the extremely talented blogger Julia from Stylonylon in conjunction with Olympus as part of Jessop's Summer Photo Festival - where you will find a number of free seminars around the country.
First however I couldn't resist a spot of shopping since I was in Shoreditch. I've been meaning to go to the Boxpark for ages and Friday was the perfect opportunity. I also grabbed a quick flat white, and had a flick through a magazine uninterrupted - ah bliss!

Swedish Hasbeen currently have a 50% off sale at the moment - I couldn't resist.
These are the ones I ended up buying after trying on almost every single pair in the shop.
There's nothing quite like a great flat white and even though it was expensive it was very good.
Afterwards I leisurely strolled to the Olympus Image Space surrounded by rock archives, and met Julia. She spoke passionately about photography and blogging in general, and I must say I came away feeling really inspired.
We were able to have a play around with an Olympus pen - a bloggers dream camera, because it's small and easily transportable, it has built-in WIFI so you can control it remotely from your phone and upload your snaps to Instagram instantly. All whilst taking superb photos. I was really impressed.
Here's some of my unedited practise shots with an Olympus Pen and a couple of different lenses:
I love this dreamy looking shot.
Birkenstocks.
I picked up a huge amounts of tips that will undoubtedly help me take better pictures. So watch this space...
What camera are you using?
Do you like my new clogs?
