Last September was kind of HUGE for us. Below is something we posted just after we won the MAD Blog award for Fashion & Beauty. It also introduces a fabulous boutique and incredibly talented people, both worth a visit by the way!
Last Friday we were full of excitement as we arrived at Lucy in Disguise, and headed downstairs to The Drama Parlour to get ready for the MAD Blog Award ceremony.
As some of you know, the gorgeous Sarah from Lucy in Disguise arranged for us to be beautified by the wonderful Hair Mistress - Victoria, and make up artist extraordinaire - Sian Duke. I completely loved my crazy 80's waves and Natalie's 50's victory roll rocked! Our make up was perfect and fit the outfits so well, and what a treat to have someone else to do it all for us. We had also had a couple of previous visits to choose our fabulous outfits, and borrowed our stunning shoes from Terry de Havilland - I loved mine so much that I was forced to buy them!
It was literally the perfect start to a wonderful evening, everyone was so cool and friendly, and of course the most important part is that they transformed us from rushed off our feet mums to just walked out of a magazine glamourous in next to no time at all.
We fully recommend you head down there if you have a special occasion or just fancy some pampering, you'll leave feeling amazing. I should also say that Lucy in Disguise is one of the only shops I have ever been in that has had something I've wanted every time.
