Hats Hats Hats

I've always been a bit weary of Cossack hats, they are not always easy to pull off. But the other day I saw a lady wearing a blue one who looked amazing and I thought I've got to try that, now I definitely don't look has good in mine as she did but it'll do. I think the trick is to not get one that is too similar colour to your hair, otherwise it could just look like a big fluffy mess.

Hats are always big in the winter for obvious reasons, but this year hats are bigger than ever - we saw them everywhere at the various fashion weeks last year. The great thing about hats, is that you can get really cheap ones that look great, you can even transform a hat easily but adding embellishments for something unique. They can transform your outfit too, the right hat will draw attention to your face and act as a little cherry on top of a delicious cake (here's hoping anyway).

I do believe whatever your face shape there is a hat out there for you. So get out there and see which hat suits you.

If the cold snap comes across the pond to us, I'm ready!

I've never met a baby who loves wearing hats as much as this one.

Which hat will you be wearing this Winter?

  1. A lovely selection. As always happens when I look at posts like this, I find that I instantly like the most expensive one best, even before I've seen the price.

    1. Well you clearly have expensive taste. Btw ASOS do have some great beanies at more reasonable prices.

  3. Great post :-D. I wear a hat all the time, helps my ears from getting frozzed. I find I look better if my hair is lose, if it's tied back I look stupid!! I love the yellow one.

    1. Yes your right most of them do look better with your hair down. Although I did tie mine back with the Cossack hat.

  5. I'm a big fan of a good bobble hat, in fact we all wear one in our family and probably look quite bonkers when out in the street together :) x

    1. They do work for heart shaped faces. I did feel like people might look, might actually they really didn't, and anyway I felt mega cosy so who cares. If you find one I love to see a pic. x

  10. I LOVE hats... My sister in law had a very nice Swiss faux fur cossack hat when she came to stay with us recently, it nearly didn't go home with her! :D

  11. I'm not a big hat fan. I think they look lovely on other people but they just annoy me when I wear them! There are some lovely ones there though :)

  12. I love hats! I actually had a proper ushanka (hat with ear flaps) when in Russia and I loved it so much! One of my tutors at uni also gave me a knitted hat he found (made me put it on in front of the whole class) as he thought one of my hats wasn't quite right for me!! So funny... love these cossack hats, must look out for one I like in the shops!

  14. One of the best things about winter is definitely the opportunity to wear more hats! Great post, I love the my-wardrobe hat, but alas would never be able to justify the cost ...
