Broadway market - Guest Blogger

Today's Guest Blogger is a friend of mine- Kelly, who went to Broadway Market last weekend #LoveLondon.

For the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday morning, take a stroll down Broadway Market in Hackney. Another little up and coming hot spot in East London. If you like the feel of Columbia Road and the foodie buzz from London's Borough Market then you'll be sure to love Broadway. Lots of multi-cultural food stalls from Ghanian stews to Scottish haggis bites, there is something here for everyone. Along side the divinely smelling food are flower stalls, handmade clothes and vintage stalls, little tea rooms, andIi even stumbled across this very cool bookshop which is a must pop in and see (I purchased 'How to be an explorer of the world!'). Keep your eyes open for the organic meats, fishmongers, cheese stalls, green grocers, artisan breads and hot ciders!  I'm hungry again just thinking about this place again.

Blink London very kindly gave us permission to use some of their Street Style photos taken at Broadway Market just before Christmas.

Got other places in London that you love? Tell us about them.

    1. I love a market too, not so easy with the kids. Altho if I take the youngest I'll just use the sling, much easier than a buggy.

    1. With my littlest I tend to take the sling, easier than using a buggy.

  6. Ooh how fabulous - it looks great there, I've not been to any Hackney markets before. Lived in London for 20 years before moving to Surrey though so have seen a fair few! Portobello Road, Camden Lock and Borough probably stick in my mind most :)

  12. A good London market takes some beating - we have Kensington Market in Toronto which is a bit indy/boho, and the Distillery District which is pricey and artisan, but nothing with that 'raw' feel that London carries off so well.

  14. I generally don't love London - I find it busy and overwhelming and very disabled unfriendly. Looking at these photos however, I defo feel like I am missing out - and as London is only an hour away from me, I think I'd better give it a second chance when the weather improves :-)

  15. I used to live just down the road from hackney in my 20's and loved going to all the markets. That bookshop looks very cool as does all the young trendies :) x
